چکیده

Resveratrol (Fig. 1A) is a natural phytoalexin produced by some plants and it is also found in food and beverages, particularly red wine [1]. The biological activity of resveratrol is associated with health benefits including anti-tumour, antiinflammatory, anti-oxidant and anti-platelet aggregation properties that make it particularly interesting for applications in pharmaceutical and nutraceutical fields [2]. The activity and bioavailability of resveratrol, however, are limited by its low solubility in water. These limitations are overcome via binding to proteins.

Identification of Amino Acids Involve in Indium Binding To Serum Human Apo-Transferrin

Indium is a heavy metal belonging to group IIIa. It is used as a radioimaging and chemotherapeutic agent in diagnosis and also in the treatment of cancers. It is believed that indium may interfere with iron metabolism and reduce cell growth in cancer tissue. The present report was established to study the binding of iron and indium to apo-transferrin (apo-tf) and to identify amino acids involv...

Probing the Binding of Valacyclovir Hydrochloride to the Human Serum Albumin

UV-visible and Fluorescence spectroscopic methods were employed to study the interaction of human serum albumin (HSA) with Valacyclovir Hydrochloride. Additionally, molecular dynamics and molecular docking simulations were used to visualize and specify the binding site of Valacyclovir Hydrochloride. The Stern-Volmer and van't Hoff equations along with spectroscopic observations, were used to de...
